About Our Founders
Ed and Tammy Glover were called to the North Side of Pittsburgh for urban ministry in 1986. Soon after, they formed Urban Impact and began to change the lives of kids in the community. Pastor Ed, Urban Impact’s president, is a leader, an evangelist, and a motivational speaker in the areas of youth and urban ministry who truly has a heart for children. Ed is also a preaching associate and the Director of Urban Missions for Christ Church at Grove Farm in Sewickley, Pa. He received his undergraduate degree from Lambuth University in Tennessee, his Master's of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary, and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Toccoa Falls in Georgia. He was recently recognized by the Christian and Missionary Alliance for 25 years in ministry. In October 2011, Pastor Ed received the prestigious Restoring Places Award at the Epoch Missions Gala in Atlanta, GA. To learn more, please click the link below.
Tammy Glover directs Urban Impact’s Performing Arts Program. With a background in education and a passion to help people who are hurting, she began her career by resettling refugees and teaching English as a second language. She is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University, and also holds a Master's of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary. Affectionately known as “Ammy Tammy” by the youngest Urban Impact kids, Tammy has played an integral part in the development of all Urban Impact programs.
Tammy and Ed Glover live on the North Side of Pittsburgh with their children Nathan, Joshua, Jonathan, and Abigail.
